It is currently 12:05AM and I am enjoying a small slice of moist Lemon Glazed Pound Cake. Though there were a few ingredients that I had to make substitutions for, it turned out surprisingly well. The only problem I did have, is when I tipped the pan onto a cooling rack, it did decide to fall apart. I could in some way relate life to this, yet it's late and so my brain apparently wants to sleep..... I'll leave this first one short, yet I'm proud to say mission started hehehe

The Plan

Lately, I've been in this mood to cook and bake. As boxes were emptied at the new house, I discovered a large amount of cookbooks that are rarely used. I found one that caught my interest 'Mrs. Field's Cookie Book'. As a kid, I loved Mrs. Field's cookies!! I even won a blue ribbon in the third grade for bringing in the best cookie recipe. Growing up my love for sweets grew too. I'm sure quite a few people have seen this summer's movie Julie&Julia, and so I decided I would do the same. I'm going to go through all 100 Mrs. Field's recipes and from there well who knows I may start on another cookbook. For now, I'm off to go start.... First recipe, Lemon Glazed Pound Cake.
